Erik Uzbekov — CNC Applications & Manufacturing Systems Engineer · Window & Door Machinery
Okolica is a production platform for window & door manufacturers. It configures the product, calculates the bill of materials, and generates the per-part CNC programs that drive the profile-processing lines. I built it — and I ran it on the shop floor: tuning machining macros on Alutech, Haffner, Stürtz, ItalMac, Schirmer and URBAN centers and verifying parts on real profile. The platform ran in production for 16 years; now I'm rebuilding it for the web in TypeScript, Vue 3 and Node.js.

Delphi / Firebird TypeScript Vue 3 + Vite Node.js + Fastify Firebird 5Edited and tuned built-in machining macros on vendor-specific machine languages — tool selection, head positioning, feed and RPM cycles — to hit accurate processing of PVC and aluminium profiles, verified on first parts on real profile.
Okolica generates per-part machining programs (which operation, at which position on the workpiece) and delivers them to the machines — plus barcode part labeling and routing and paperless shop-floor workstations.
Built and maintained Okolica end to end: product configuration, BOM / material calculation, technological routing, orders, inventory, planning and reporting — ~50,000 lines of Delphi on Firebird, metadata-driven forms, FastReport.
Modernizing the same platform: Vue 3 / TypeScript / Vite, Node.js (Fastify), Firebird 5, a CAD-style editor, a BOM engine and a Pascal-like script interpreter — 540+ unit tests and Playwright e2e. Running at okolica.org.
